There is a lot of discussion around Gen Z professionalism in the workplace, labeled as the “etiquette gap”.
Gen Z’ers are pushing back against this narrative, and believe workplace etiquette is a two-way street; Gen Z feels that what you give should be a reflection of what you get. It is not that Gen Z’ers do not care about professionalism, they just want to be met halfway and receive the same level of respect they give to you.
